LASER TRACKER SMR CALIBRATION & CERTIFICATION
MetrologyWorks provides a full line of Laser Tracker Spherically Mounted Retroreflector (SMR) Ball Probes. Every SMR is compatible with all OEM Laser Trackers including FARO, API, and Hexagon (Leica). ECM partners with MetrologyWorks to bring you only the highest level of quality in your laser tracker SMR.
In addition to calibrating your measurement instruments, we will make sure your SMR is thoroughly cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner. The High Power Ultrasonic Cleaner is designed to remove grease, dust or other contaminants from surfaces and cavities of small objects. ECM will certify your laser tracker SMR for 1/2 price with every laser tracker we calibrate.
How to Clean your SMR
Spherically Mounted Rertroreflectors (“SMRs”) are precision tools used in a variety of environments to measure and record data on tools, assemblies, and other objects using a laser tracker. SMRs can accumulate dirt, grime, and other foreign material which can reduce the SMR’s ability to return the laser beam and track well. It is suggested you clean the optic if necessary but only when necessary. SMRs are an important part of your laser tracker measurement system and should be well taken care of. SMRs are precision parts that do require occasional cleaning.
