The objective of the CMS Level-One Certification Course is to help prepare the student for the Level One examination. The learning will be provided in the form of a presentation where discussion will be a primary focus. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding.
CMS Metrology Certification and Preparatory Training: Level Two
The objective of the CMS Level-Two Certification Course is to help prepare the student for the Level Two examination. Each class is customized to the equipment and software that the student will use during the test. The learning will be provided in the form of hands on exercises where performing measurement will be a primary focus.
Dimensional Measurement Training: Level One
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology
A three day training course introducing dimensional metrology, the importance of good measurement practice and the right measurement behaviors. The learning will be provided in the form of a presentation where discussion will be a primary focus. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding.
Dimensional Measurement Training: Level Two
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology
A four day Dimensional Measurement training course building on the knowledge and measurement principles gained through the level one training course. The learning will be provided in the form of a presentation where discussion will be a primary focus. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding.
FARO CAM2 Laser Tracker Training
FARO’s CAM2 inspection software packages for the FARO Laser Tracker. They are engineered for computer-aided measurement supporting 3D feature measurement/inspection and CAD-to-part comparison.
FARO CAM2 Portable Arm Training
FARO’s CAM2 inspection software packages for the FARO Arm. They are engineered for computer-aided measurement supporting 3D feature measurement/inspection and CAD-to-part comparison.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Training: Level One
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology
This training course is intended to provide persons with limited experience with drawings, inspection, or manufacturing with an overview of typical drawing conventions and Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Only the most common tolerance types are shown. The class will consist of a power point presentation with class discussion. Practical examples in simple block-like geometry will be featured. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding has taken place.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Training: Level Two
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology
A three day training course intended for anyone who needs to understand the theory and practice of ASME Y14.5 – 2018 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Students should have some knowledge of interpreting technical drawings or inspection experience. Class will alternate between a power point presentation, class discussion and practice exercises. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding. Practical examples and workbook exercises provide practice in interpreting and analyzing GD&T.
Introduction to Blue Print Reading and General Metrology Concepts
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology
A two day training course designed for people who want to understand how to read blue prints. Class will be a presentation with constant discussion between students and the instructor. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding.
Laser Tracker Care and Maintenance
A two-day course focusing on proper care and preventive maintenance for all brands of Laser Trackers; including field checks, optics care, compensations, and troubleshooting. The learning will be provided in the form of a presentation where discussion will be a primary focus. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding.
Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology, Metrology Software Training
ECM is proud to partner with QC Training Services, Inc to offer this course. Attendees will discover the amounts and types of variations that exist in measurement systems, to ensure that product acceptance or process control decisions are based on “good data.” In this 2-day (16 hour) class, attendees will learn how to conduct studies to evaluate variability due to bias, repeatability, reproducibility, stability, and linearity.
Metrologist in Training Assessment Test
This introductory assessment is a gateway to the more rigorous exams tied to the Coordinate Metrology Society’s (CMS) internationally recognized certification, without the process of filing references and proof of experience documentation. The MIT was designed as a “walk-up” test which is practical and informative.
Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems Training
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology
A two day training course designed for users of portable coordinate measurement systems. The learner will understand the fundamental principles and best practice, respond to measurement results and related uncertainty and appreciate the different types of portable coordinate measurement systems available.
Spatial Analyzer Software Training: Level One
This introductory course provides students with the necessary basic fundamentals of measurement with the emphasis on the application of the measurement science concepts.
Spatial Analyzer Software Training: Level Two
This intermediate level course provides students with advanced fundamentals of measurement with the emphasis on the application of the measurement science concepts.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) – Basics
GD&T and Dimensional Metrology, Metrology Software Training
ECM is proud to partner with QC Training Services, Inc to offer this course. Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an introduction to statistics and the data collection process. The purpose is to provide practical instruction on the fundamental statistical tools used in modern process control methods, including the purpose, concepts and parameters associated with control charts and process capability.
Theodolite and Total Station Care and Maintenance
A two-day course focusing on proper care and preventive maintenance for all brands of Theodolites and Total Stations; including field checks, optics care, compensations, and troubleshooting. The learning will be provided in the form of a presentation where discussion will be a primary focus. Question and answer sessions will take place during the course to ensure knowledge and understanding.
